I was born and raised on a farm in a tiny town in northern Utah, the very heart of Mormon country. I received a Master’s degree in history from Utah State University and then worked on an advanced Degree at Kansas State University.
At Kansas State I became very interested in Mormon History and wrote a short history and analysis of the Mormon War in Missouri. My novel, An Adder in the Path grew out of that article.
I worked as a procedure analyst and writer for Thiokol Corporation in Tremonton, Utah for many years. During my career I published the following articles: Canals and Canards, Water and Land Speculation in Utah; Causes of the Mormon Expulsion from Missouri; Promontory; (a published poem); Why belong to a Professional Organization; and Dealing with the Panic Mode; (both published articles published in the National Property Management Organization Magazine.)
